10. No Action Against The Polish Invasion

England and France made a promise to Poland that if Hitler were to invade the country that they would declare war and help. However, when Hitler finally invaded on September 1st, 1939, the two countries did absolutely nothing in retaliation. Hitler was able to completely destroy the Polish military and within 27 days, Warsaw surrendered. England and France declared war against Hitler, but ultimately did nothing and Poland remained occupied by the Nazis until 1945.
