In the film, An Officer and a Gentleman, Richard Gere and Debra Winger played in a drama/romance where an unexpected love story blooms between their two characters. However, it seems that Gere and Winger really were amazing actors because the two of them couldn’t stand each other. According to co-star Louis Gossett Jr., Winger described Gere as “a brick wall” and she also had some pretty bad opinions of the director. She described Director Taylor Hackford as “an animal”.
