burpees

Few things are more despised in life than burpees. Burpees will help you torch fat, build muscle, and boost your endurance and mental toughness. Burpees are a remarkably efficient exercise and we very highly recommend incorporating it into your training regimen. Even better, you don’t need any equipment aside from your body.

Benefits of Burpees

Doing burpees is one of the most beneficial exercises that a guy can ever do. Whether you hit the gym to stay in shape, are an avid Crossfitter, are an athlete or even a member of the military, we bet you’re in agreement that burpees will get you results.

Cardiovascular Health

Your cardio health will improve once you start doing this workout regularly. Your heart racing means that you’ll be burning fat.

It’s an Excuse Killer

Burpees are a great workout that benefit your entire body. You don’t need a lot of time, space, nor equipment. Therefore, you’re excuses aren’t valid here. They are, without question, the most hated exercise based on how effective they are – meaning that they will leave you exhausted.

Doing Burpees Properly

Before you do them, you need to make sure that you have enough space. There should be enough space for you to plank and jump, which is quite easy because a small corner on any room of your house will be fine. You can also do this outside or even in your office.

Also, make sure that there won’t be anything to trip on when you are doing this to ensure that you won’t injure yourself.

Doing Burpees

To start the exercise, you just need to stand straight. Then, squat down, with your hands on the ground. Kick your legs back so that you are in a plank position. Afterwards, lower your body, making your chest and quads touch the ground.

Spring Back Up

Push yourself back up until you’re back in the plank position then kick your legs in so that you are in a squatting position again. Then, stand up and jump as high as you can. Repeat.

When doing burpees, you should do this as fast as you can within a period of time. Sixty second intervals are great to start, but feel free to do whatever you can handle. Just make sure to take some rest in between every round and try to beat your own records to measure your progress.

Ready? Beast Mode: On.
