Bodybuilders need to eat fairly well if they want to be able to build their muscles fast. And indeed, most bodybuilders eat very well and they have in fact exceeded their recommended daily allowances for vitamins and minerals, except for one nutrient, and that is calcium.
According to research, they are only able to meet 54% of their recommended daily allowance for this nutrient, which is just not enough. The reason for this shortage could be due to the fact that they limit their dairy product intake. They think of these products as fats so they try to avoid these as much as possible.
