What makes the tombs even more intriguing is the way sunlight enters them. At the Dowth tomb, you can see the sun setting through a passageway during the months of November and February. However, on December 21st, the day of the winter solstice, the sun actually travels along the tomb and illuminates three stones in particular. Talk about amazing craftsmanship!
