Dumb and Dumber To stars the original duo Jeff Daniels and Jim Carrey (Harry and Lloyd) and is set 20 years after the original movie. When Harry finds out he has a daughter with a girl he once had a relationship with, he along with Lloyd set out to find the daughter and let her know who her true father is. The problem though: Lloyd has fallen in love with the daughter so you can already see where it’s going (or not).
The trailer shows a lot of what to expect from this one: the crude humor, the trademark gags, the laugh-inducing characters’ looks (especially Harry and Lloyd) and the references to the first movie. It’s sure going to bring back the viewers to the 90s.
So far, the trailer gave me a good laugh. I like that it brings the original duo and the original directors (Farrelly Brothers) back, and it has that trademark humor that the original had so maybe it will give the audience a good time. I’m just hoping it doesn’t end up like its prequel (uggh, that prequel). I also hope it doesn’t suffer like most sequels, where it tries to bring back the predecessor’s charms only to fire back and crash down.
Well, we won’t know if it will rock or suck until its release on November 14. Until then, just remember one thing: DON’T EVER stick your hand in unknown places. You sure don’t want it to get dusty now, would you? (Don’t get it? Check the trailer).
