The following recipe is a very simple and fool-proof recipe using ingredients that most people have in their spice rack.

Ingredients

  • Chicken wings
  • Paprika
  • Cayenne pepper
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Oil
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Lemon
  • Tabasco
  • Ketchup
  • Red hot sauce

Procedure

  1. Begin this hot wings recipe by making sure that the wings are very dry. If you will not completely dry the wings, they will not come out super crispy when you fry them. Dry the wings as much as possible and let them sit overnight in your fridge. Place the wings on a cooling rack so as to allow for more air circulation.
  2. Prepare the dry rub. Mix together in a bowl the paprika, cayenne pepper, salt and freshly ground pepper. Cover the wings with this dry rub.
  3. Next step in cooking this hot wings recipe is to deep fry them. The temperature of the oil must be around 375 degrees before you add the wings. If the oil is not too hot when you add the wings, they will not turn out super crispy.
  4. Fry the wings in batches. Do not over crowd them in the pan. Fry them for about ten minutes, depending on the size of the wings.
  5. Make the sauce. Whisk together in a bowl the ½ cup extra virgin olive oil, ½ cup lemon juice, 1 teaspoon Tabasco, 2 tablespoons ketchup and, 1 tablespoon red hot sauce.
  6. Coat the super crispy wings in the sauce and serve while hot.
