10. Award of Excellence
The two teenagers were also honored for their actions at a press conference held by the city animal control officials. The boys were each rewarded for their compassion, as well as being reunited with the now fully healthy and happy Brad. At the event Chief of Police, Jim Hurley announced, “We would like to present you with this award of excellence for coming to the rescue of this dog. Thank you very much.” By honoring the young men for their compassion and empathy, the town hopes that other’s get inspired by their gracious actions, as it’s more important than ever to spread the love, not hate.
