16. What is a Lynx?
Many may be unsure what a lynx is or have difficulty even identifying one because sightings are rare. The lynx is known to be one of the most endangered species of wild cat in the world, and the numbers are dwindling. There are two main species of this exotic feline, the Iberian Lynx, and the Canadian Lynx. According to World Wildlife Foundation, the Iberian lynx is the world’s most endangered feline species. However, conservation measures have seen its population inch above 400. Historically, the lynx was found from Alaska across Canada and into the northern U.S. states, however, sightings like this are rare.
