Reboots are becoming a norm these days. One day, you get a reboot of Spider-Man (Amazing Spider-Man) and the next day, a reboot of Superman comes (Man of Steel). So who’s getting a reboot in the near future? The Predator.
A new Predator reboot is coming, IMDB reports, and it will be written and directed by Shane Black. Famous for Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and Iron Man 3, Shane Black is going to be the man to handle the new reboot. You might think he was chosen to direct and write the reboot because of his way handling the Iron Man 3 villain (oh yeah, everybody knows that, including you) but actually, he might’ve been chosen to do this because he was actually in the original Predator! He had a small cameo in the film so hey, he’s got familiarity with the material.
But the question is: can he bring justice to Predator being rebooted? We can’t forget that Predators, the previous reboot. That one didn’t even make much and was a huge letdown for the fans. But with a new reboot coming along and with Black on the seat, maybe Predator can finally see a new light in these modern times.
Better hope Black doesn’t make the new villain of the rebooted Predator actually be an actor hiding in a mansion (hehehehe).
