mental toughness
You knew it was coming. A massive psychological hurdle that would make or break this transformation. That breaking point we all go through when we have reached our boundaries – leaving you telling yourself “this has been too much” or maybe, just maybe, your mind tells your body “No. You’ve had enough when I say you’ve had enough.”

I have reached that hurdle. That boundary where my muscles begin to give out mid-set and something just connects. I go from being wobbly to being focused and being able to finish strong. There is a huge lesson to be learned here and even going through the experience first-hand, this is a lesson that I am trying to keep top of mind.
There are moments in the gym and in everyday life where you will somehow turn yourself into a victim. Telling yourself you did “good enough” or that something is “too difficult.” Nonsense! You did good enough when you are exhausted, but amazed at how much you did. Things are too difficult when it takes you a few tries, but then you get it.
Stop telling yourself you’re done and start telling yourself you’re NOT done. Stop telling yourself something is too hard, and tell yourself “I’m going to get this.” It doesn’t matter who you are because 999 times out of 1000 we can do far more than we are capable of. We just make victims of ourselves when things get rough and think we deserve a break.
You deserve greatness. When things get rough, beg for more – it’s an opportunity to prove yourself to yourself.
Stop with the excuses and confront rough situations with so much aggression and focus that you turn the tables. You will no longer be the victim, the only victims will be the obstacles or challenges that tried to get in your way.
