Surely you can devote significant time in the gym or enlist in the new fad diet, but becoming sexier quickly? These tips say that you can improve your sex appeal almost instantly, even as you approach your potential date. And… there could be some truth to it. Remember how a woman lowers her voice, makes a hoarse groan, and everything in the bedroom begins to look sultry and hot? The sexy voice won’t work with men, though, a study conducted by researchers from Penn State Harrisburg reports.

According to Marissa Harrison, Ph.D., study co-author, women are not as easily attracted to men with husky voices. Because they have limited reproductive opportunities, they’re better able to wait for someone whom they really find attractive. If a sexy male voice doesn’t easily turn women on, then what does? These tips might come in handy for men trying to score a date.

Sound Confident

While women don’t find your guttural voice attractive, she finds a confident voice highly sexy. Men find it difficult to talk low and sexy at the same time, but they talk confidently almost effortlessly. Co-author Susan Hughes, Ph.D. says that it goes back to a woman’s primal instinct to want someone who exudes confidence and competence to assure survival. Security is a basic need, both in modern and ancient times. To sound more confident, Hughes suggests that men speak louder and in a pitch stronger than normal.

Excite Women With Red

Women find men wearing red appealing. A study conducted in 2010 at the University of Rochester disclosed that red signals sexual excitement, passion, and eroticism. The study shows that this stimulation by red is true universally.

Don’t Shave Smooth

Men with stubble and facial hair shadow (shaven but with a dark outline), are more appealing to women. A study conducted in Australia in 2012 showed that women were more attracted to men with thicker facial hair and perceived them as more masculine and more protective.

Don’t Smile in Your Pictures

Women find photos of men with dark or gloomy looks more attractive, according to a 2011 study conducted in Canada. Pictures of smiling men were seen as more feminine. Up close and personal with a woman, though, flash a slow-onset smile. Women find a slow-forming smile more trustworthy than a quick-forming, almost automatic, smile.

Keep Your Natural Musk

Too much cologne masks your natural musk. Women are very sensitive to scents and they have a very keen auditory sense which helps them identify a potential mate. They’re more selective with their mate than men are, owing to the fewer sexual opportunities they have. Smelling men is one way for women to find their match.

Covering up undesirable smells and stink with profuse sprays of perfume and colognes will only worsen the problem. Scents have a way of reacting with your sweat and turning them into stench. Besides, women will still sniff you underneath your cover.
