11. Dolphin Expert Explains Pinky’s Pink Hue

Eric Hovland of the Florida Aquarium in Tampa, Florida is no stranger to dolphins, but was just as awestruck as Bridget when he saw Pinky. He says that “Pinky’s albinism is exceptionally rare, but not unheard of.” Even though she has a pinkish hue, she is still in fact considered an albino. The reason her and her baby are pink is due to their blood vessels being close to the surface of the skin.
Pinky is certainly comfortable in her skin. Just look at her flaunting it!
