Women have the weirdest practices but, accept it, these ideas are worth trying (and they’re really smart).

Wash Your Face Every Night

Dr. Ariel Ostad of New York University Medical Center, says that washing the skin removes the oil and bacteria that block the pores. When you skip the essential skin-cleansing, the blocked pores will be inflamed and become angry breakouts in the morning. There are many facial cleansing products for guys, so there’s no need to sneak on her toiletries. Besides, the male skin requirements vary greatly from female versions.

Check Your Weight Every Morning

Nothing beats knowing how much you weigh before munching on a sugary doughnut on the way to work. Research conducted at the University of Minnesota, shows that individuals who weighed every day were more likely to lose weight than those who checked the scales less frequently. Dr. Caroline Cederquist of bistroMD says that stepping on the scales every day also checks one’s appetite the easy way.

Keep Antibacterial Spray/Gel Handy

You don’t know where bacteria and germs are hiding, so carry an antibacterial to avoid bringing them home. Dr. Joshua Zeichner of The Mount Sinai Hospital, emphasizes that using antibacterial gels is one of the easiest and most effective ways of shielding yourself and your family from diseases. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends antibacterial gels of 60% alcohol at the minimum. After rubbing liberally on both hands, allow it to dry for 15 seconds.

Pack Fiber Into Your Diet

Fibre makes the digestive system more efficient, it helps in losing weight, it contains nutrients that benefit the heart, and it lowers cholesterol. If those don’t sound like good reasons to go fibrous on your diet, listen to what Samantha Cassetty, M.S., R.D. has to say. Cassetty, who is the director of nutrition for Luvo, says that low cholesterol levels in men are good indicators of low-risk erectile dysfunction.

Talk on a Personal Level With Your Buddies

Don’t let women have all the fun. Have a boys’ day out. Pritikin Longevity Center’s director of behavioral health and wellness, Coral Arvon, Ph.D., reveals that men should talk more with their friends. An Australian study of septuagenarians shows that the subjects with the most number of friends whom they regularly associated with, lived 7 years longer than their lonesome counterparts.

Have a Bath

Women are known for spending hours in their bubble baths with the richest fragrances imaginable. Aside from the scents, baths do have deep-as-skin benefits and they work for men, too. A warm bath opens skin pores and detoxifies skin. Ask your wife for the bath salts that she uses, because bath salts reduce fine lines and wrinkles. She can wickedly smile all she wants.

Do Group Exercise For More Sustainability

A group makes it easier to sustain a workout plan in the long term. An Oxford University study also shows that working out with a team or group increases the release of endorphins, or feel-good hormones. What a way to be healthy and happy! It does sound girly, but all those experts should know what they’re talking about. Besides, you can always remove the label.
