The Flint Water Crisis has received all too little attention in the media over the last five years, during which time its residents have not had clean water. When Rev. Faith Timmons invited Trump to speak to her Flint congregation during the election, she did it on the condition that he address himself to Flint, not to politics. Trump quickly attacked Hillary Clinton, so Timmons interrupted his rant. “Mr. Trump, I invited you here to thank us for what we’ve done for Flint, not to give a political speech,” she said. Trump complied with her request but later on, when she was no longer in the same room with him, derided her as “a nervous mess.”
