Tofu is one of the most widely used and consumed soy product there is, not just in China but throughout the United States and the rest of the world. It’s almost considered a staple of any healthy or vegetarian diet. However, according to a report in 2012, food safety inspectors in Hunan Province have found tofu manufacturers use livestock and even human feces, and iron sulphate to speed up the fermenting process.
