Why: The wider grip is key for engaging the lats while the neutral grip reduces the stress placed on the shoulders. Performed with a full range of motion and appropriate tempo the Wide Neutral Grip Lat Pull Down will blow your lats up.

Execution: Grab the handles, sit on the machine, and place your knees underneath the pads. Keeping the spine neutral and your shoulders down and away from your ears, pull through your elbows until the bar touches your chest. Pause then slowly return to the starting position while maintaining control over the bar. Repeat for the prescribed number of sets and repetitions.
