14. Strays on the rise
With a number of stray dogs on the rise in Greece, it has become a daily reality for the people of Greece to have homeless dogs in abundance. Although a shock to tourists from other countries, this issue is such a large scale problem, that often local officials have no real plans to take on the situation of stray dogs because of other issues at hand. Therefore, they often get left behind, forgotten and sadly, they become invisible or are targeted.
