This is one of the two detonation tests named Able and Baker, the first nuclear tests after the Hiroshima and Nagasaki detonations in 1945, operated by the USA to test the effect of nuclear weapons underwater. It was named operation Crossroads and took place in 1946 at Bikini Atoll island.
