It’s Friday night and you want to throw a party at your place. You want it to be very exciting and one of the ways to keep a party going is by playing some beautiful music. No party will ever be complete without good music. You can choose music from different genres and from different generations. Your guests may be coming from different age groups so it is only proper if you have songs that everyone can identify with.

Below are some tips on how to compile a party playlist to entice your guests to stay on and have fun with the party:

Early Part of the Party

At the beginning of the party, the party playlist of songs must be soft and not too loud yet. The party is just starting and you just want your guests to relax and feel at home at your place. People are just trying to get into the party mood and some of your guests might not even know each other. This is the time to introduce them to one another with some soft music in the background. You are still trying to get them to feel relaxed and into the groove.  Always begin by playing some slow jam music. Party playlist must include hip hop songs just so to get them into the mood for later dancing, and maybe some yacht rock songs.

Middle of the Party

Once everybody is warmed up, you can encourage them to start dancing on the dance floor and let the party begin. If someone starts to dance to your party playlist music, then expect the rest of your guests to join that person and start the real party. The important thing here is to keep the girls on the dance floor. Make them happy by playing nice songs that they could dance with the boys. If you do not make the girls happy with your playlist music, then the party will be a complete bore. Once everybody is on the dance floor, then it is time to play some loud music and encourage everyone to dance. This is now the life of the party so your music must be the big hits of the moment.

Ending the Party

How will you end a party when everyone is still dancing and enjoying the night? You can slowly begin ending the party by playing softer music in between loud songs. You can play, maybe blues, so your guests can start to slow down with the tempo of their dancing. You can play some slow jams and try to bring down the energy of your guests. The party playlist at this point should not be as loud as compared to the previous hours during the peak of the party. Now is the time to go slow.

Those are the things to consider when choosing the type of songs that you will play in a party. It is healthy to be social, so go ahead and plan a party at your place with music that will keep the party alive.
