5. Concentrating on the Bad Side

Life situations always have a good side and a bad side. Sometimes they’re more bad than good. Finding the good thing in a messy situation is oftentimes a tricky business, but do make a habit of searching for it. If you get the hang of finding the good thing first, you’ll hone right into it.

6. Thinking That the World Revolves Around You

The world revolves around the sun, not you. Seriously, life will go on whether you sulk in the corner or tide along with it. Don’t limit life simply because you’re scared of how the world will react to your actions or your opinions. Feel free to do what you want as long as you don’t harm others or yourself. Many times people feel bad about their lot; but if they stop the self-pity and start looking around, you’ll see a lot of people suffering even worse situations. If you focus on helping other people, you’ll find that you help yourself, too.
