Yes, the remake that stars Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan. Set in China, Jaden Smith’s character, Dre Parker moves into a new town, from USA to China. Just like LaRusso, he’s also roughed up a bit and finds a new love interest. There, he meets Mr. Han. Unlike Mt. Miyagi, Mr. Han is more stoic and well, looks more mean. Just like the original, this Karate Kid shows Han showing the ropes to Parker via unusual ways like doing his chores. It might all seem weirder than the original’s training but this montage shows that those unusual, weird ways give him the better understanding in executing karate. Ahhh yeah!
