14. Omaha Beach
The showdown at Omaha Beach was also far from fully successful. The Allied Forces made a ton of mistaking, one of the biggest was sending out the Navy too far out into choppy waters. This resulted in a huge number of vessels capsizing and cost many soldiers their lives. On top of that, the airborne fleet landed in a highly disorganized fashion, leaving troops vulnerable. Many of them had to hide behind the bodies of their dead comrades in order to survive. The only bright side in this story is that the Germans were just as disorganized during this invasion.
