Beginner Workout Mistake: Not Focusing on Nutrition

We’ve heard the saying that ‘abs are made in the kitchen’ and ‘you can’t out train a bad diet’. As cliché as it sounds, this is true especially when it comes to beginners.

The sin of focusing solely on training and neglecting nutrition is common for most beginners. They make poor food choices and fail to hit their required daily macronutrients, yet expect a miracle that might turn them into the next Henry Cavill.

Instead of dedicating too much time to training, use some time to plan your meals for the week. It doesn’t have to be as complicated as counting calories, just try aiming for 1 gram of protein per pound of bodyweight and adjust your carbohydrate and fat intake according to your goals.

Nutrition and training is like Batman and Robin, they work together to form a kick ass team.
